• −Manages up to 600 samples/hour in a footprint 50% smaller than previous systems.
• −Together with the analyzer connection unit, Compact S1 manages pre-and post-analysis functions. The easy-to-operate system design makes this modular system suitable for any laboratory.
• −The system can be configured to your lab’s floor plan with additional modules including STAT priority loading points for analyzer interfaces.

Processing Flow

• Inlet

  Samples are transferred to the processing lane. The barcode is read to determine routing and confirm receipt in the laboratory. For expedited processing, there is a STAT rack available. Rack positions are user selectable for designated functions. Error samples are sorted to the error lane.

• Centrifuge

  For samples that require centrifugation, tubes are loaded to the Centrifuge and returned to the lane after centrifugation for further processing.

• Decapper

  Tubes requiring decapping are routed to the Decapper module where various types of caps are removed and discarded into a Bio-hazard container.

• Analyzer Connection module

  Interface to outboard sampling and rack-based analyzers.

• Recapper

  Cap tubes as required.

• Storage

  Transfers completed samples from the track to storage racks. Samples are available for automated retests or add-ons.

• Outlet

  Sorts completed samples to racks. Samples are retrievable for rerun.
